Week 7: Gospel'ing  How To Share the Gospel

Read and Consider the Following Passages of Scripture Together:

“...if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. For the Scripture says, "Everyone who believes in him will not be put to shame." For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, bestowing his riches on all who call on him. For "everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, "How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!"
Romans 10:9-15

{ Question 1 }

When you think about the above verses, what “aha moments” get provoked with respect to the urgency and necessity for knowing how to share the Gospel?

Watch the following video together:

{ Question 2 }

After watching the above video, what are the implications for personally understanding/believing and knowing how to share the Gospel; perhaps in terms of it truly being an act of love and freedom?

{ Question 3 }

After watching the above video, can you relate to telling or being told the Gospel, but it being full of somewhat incomprehensible “vernacular?” Does our “Emoji Gospel” tool help minimize such confusion and maximize clarity in your mind? If so, how? If not, why not and what can you do to innovate the tool?

DNA Plan

Discuss together how you can make specific, measurable plans for sharing the Gospel this week!

  • Is there someone in your life who you know would benefit from hearing the Gospel?
    Would you be willing to make it a priority to do just that this week?
    If so, how will you plan to do it?
    If not, why not? (i.e., What would hold you back and how can your DNA Group partner with you to overcome any objections?)
